Chevrolet gave us a taste of the 2024 Electric Blazer ahead of its official unveiling on July 18. Specifications will be announced at the unveiling and for now, we have a look at its exterior design only. It was in 1969 that the Blazer name joined the Chevrolet family and since then it has been served in different configurations. We knew the Blazer EV was coming very soon, as it was announced by Chevrolet in the context of its electric shift at the same time the Equinox EV was announced.
Exterior design
The 2024 Blazer EV adopts a more futuristic look compared to the current gas-powered Blazer and will be the first EV model to use the SS performance designation. According to the leaked image, the SS badge will be placed on the grille.
Regarding its front, we can see that it is similar to that of the Blazer 2023, but with some novelties. We can see an illuminated logo, as well as a light bar that connects the headlights. Also, the Blazer EV will have bigger wheels! It will sport 12-spoke Continental wheels, giving it a more aggressive look.
The charging port will be accessible through a motorized flap located between the left front fender and the driver's door.
Performance
We already know that the Blazer will use GM's Ultium platform and we can expect several versions, such as the SS version with all-wheel drive which will be the most powerful! Don't worry, other more economical versions will also be available on the market.
Stay tuned for the full reveal on July 18! The 2024 Blazer EV will go on sale in Spring 2023!
